Sometimes you know when the time is right to shift direction and make a change.
After spending an amazing 12-plus years working for brands such as Nike and adidas, I’ve decided to launch my own business, BG Public Relations (BGPR) to further explore my creativity and passion for storytelling. While it’s both terrifying and amazing, it’s right. The quote, “Your heart knows things that your mind can’t explain” applies.
The journey to here has been remarkable yet challenging; exciting yet stressful; fulfilling and, at times, scary. Through it all, I’ve learned considerably from very smart and creative leaders. For that I’m forever grateful.
As I embark on this new challenge of launching BG Public Relations, I’ve taken some time to reflect on what BGPR represents and believes. First, I’m massively fortunate that I work in a profession that I love, and I don’t take it for granted.
I see PR as an art. I believe that a good story is oxygen for shaping perception, persuasion and impact. And to me,that is fun. I ask questions, listen and then craft high-impact stories into message-driven campaigns. I believe in going broader than the obvious. To think and explore differently -- because if you do it like everyone else, then that’s what you’ll be -– like everyone else. Look for inspiration everywhere because it exists in every corner.
